TNA in the United States of America is something of a mess. When the company was on the road not long ago pictures kept surfacing of dismal crowds attending the events. Seeing a photo of Kurt Angle and Eric Young in a pro wrestling ring with approximately bugger all people in the audience is an immensely depressing thing for a wrestling fan to experience.

The company has never really had any problems over in the United Kingdom however. Attendances for the tours have always been stellar, and the company has often gone out of its way to bring a fan-friendly atmosphere and feel to the shows. As a result TNA has taped a number of episodes of Impact in the UK, and these episodes have generally been far stronger than those taped in front of the dead cadavers of the Impact Zone.

British wrestling crowds are arguably the best in the world today. Sure, I'm biased, but who cares. Whilst they will be the first to take to the internet and gripe about things, British fans will always turn out to pro wrestling in droves and will sure as hell make a racket when they are there. The relationship between TNA and the United Kingdom was one of the bright spots in the recent history of the company.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
