7 Things WWE Need To Stop Doing Every WrestleMania
6. Needlessly Faking The Attendance Number
This isn't a new thing for WWE. Stretching right back to WrestleMania III in 1987, the promotion have been using a little creative license to fabricate the attendance figures for their biggest show of the year; as if 75,000+ isn't impressive enough, WWE feel the need to add a few digits on and repeatedly "break" attendance records.
That practice only undermines the hard work people in the company do to properly promote 'Mania and get as many folks as they do inside the building. Most fans watching must cringe their way through those "record breaking" announcements, knowing the number has been inflated to appease WWE's non-stop need to look massive.
The funny thing is: they are massive.
Wide shots of every 'Mania stadium event (yes, including III) show impressive swarms of people eagerly taking in what's happening and willing to squint at a tiny speck that might be the ring just to be there. That's success, and it doesn't require enhancement in the form of fake fan numbers.
