7 Things WWE's Main Roster And Creative Team Can Learn From NXT Rival

2. Women Matter

Maybe Vince McMahon is unaware of this, but what happens when you showcase women as more than wrestlers on broadcast television in the midst of feminism's third global wave is that women suddenly become a key demographic for your corporation. That being said - and likely due much in part to the prior statement - for about the past 18 months, NXT's Women's Division has been the most consistently entertaining in-ring product in all of pro wrestling. NXT's Women's Division is not written for comedic impact, it's booked to make competitive sense. Women aren't catty, insipid or possibly lesbians, they're smart, strong, skilled and athletic - which for WWE is rare. It would be amazing if Total Divas featured women athletes who have lives outside of the ring. More UFC's Ultimate Fighter with an increased emphasis on shenanigans than anything else, it would certainly fall in line with where women are both in their own company already, and in much of the world today.
