A major reason for the vastly improved performance of WWE divas in recent years must be the appointment of indie darling Sara Del Rey as a developmental trainer. Del Rey has over ten years' experience in a variety of independent promotions, from the ultra-intense world of Ring Of Honor to the decidedly wackier Chikara. She's the first female trainer in WWE history, a role she's held for three years now. Although much of Alexa Bliss' ability must be put down a great deal of dedication and her own natural talent, it's surely no coincidence that one of the WWE's brightest young divas developed her skills under a trainer of Del Rey's expertise.
