It's just as well Alberto Del Rio is trained in the art of mixed martial arts, so often has he been involved in out-of-hours altercations with fans, foes, and on at least one occasion, family.

So it comes as something of a surprise to learn that the son of Dos Caras was leathered during a fracas with Texas bar patron Alex Pardo back in 2016. At least, according to his lawyers, who we're sure had absolutely no motivation whatsoever besides establishing the truth.

The Mexican's legal team claimed Del Rio was minding his own business at a karaoke bar (a karaoke bar! Can you imagine?) when his female guest (wonder who that could be... ) was approached for a photo by another party. After being refused, things quickly got out of hand, with Pardo allegedly smashing a glass on 'El Patron's swede. The assault caused "severe injuries", and instigated a mass brawl. When a groggy Del Rio returned to his feet, he was apparently rushed at once more by his assailant.

Incidentally, all this came out during Pardo's litigation against Del Rio for the same fight. Funny, that.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
