7 Times WWE Title Was Vacated With Shocking Consequences

2. Hulk Hogan And The Real World€™s Champion €“ December 1991

One of the greatest sights as a wrestling fan is to see your favorite wrestler debut for your favorite organization. If that wrestler just so happens to be one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of the business, it will be a moment that history will never forget! Something similar happened in the early 1990s, when Ric Flair jumped ships to the WWF. Flair immediately targeted Hogan, which resulted in Hogan dropping the title to The Undertaker thanks to outside interference. Hogan won the title back just 6 days later in match which saw Ric Flair getting involved yet again. This resulted in the then on €“ screen WWF President, Jack Tunney stripping Hogan of the WWF title, and vacating the championship. Ric Flair however won the WWF title after winning the 1992 Royal Rumble, a match that saw Sid Justice eliminating Hulk Hogan! Ric Flair€™s first run as the WWF champion ensured that he joined Buddy Rogers in the elite list of superstars who had won both the NWA and the WWF championships! Post Royal Rumble, Hulk Hogan was involved in the much €“ publicized steroid scandal, while Randy Savage defeated Ric Flair at WrestleMania 8 to win the WWF title!
