7 TNA Gimmicks WWE Should Steal
2. Bound For Glory Series
WWE have started experimenting again with a proxy 'league' structure on SmackDown. That's what the new 'Top 10' is all about. It's a revival of the old 'Power 25' .com idea too, albeit one that's stripped down. Therein lies the problem: what use is a rankings system without some kind of reward?
If nothing else, TNA realised that with their own 'Bound For Glory Series'. There had to be some pots of gold at the end of the rainbow for fans to give a toss about the thing, and that prize was a shot at the TNA Heavyweight Title on the promotion's biggest pay-per-view of the year.
The rules were convoluted, but well-intentioned and all designed to try and add drama before Bound For Glory. With a little thought, WWE's writers could make such a series even better (although maybe they could take away the unnecessary use of house shows that made the idea hard to follow).
Following a points system theoretically makes every match mean something, and it'd be a sweet solution to aid WWE's problem with filling three hours of Raw or two hours of SmackDown every week.
