7 Underrated WWE Matches John Cena Haters Ignore

1. Umaga Vs. John Cena (Royal Rumble 2007)

After a generic roll up finish had ended their match at New Year's Revolution on a sour note, Cena and Umaga were back at it again come the 2007 Royal Rumble. In a Last Man Standing match, they tore the house down in one of the most overlooked WWE Title classics in Rumble history.

The finish is sheer perfection, righting the wrongs of a few weeks before by simultaneously putting over Cena's STF(U) as a deadly hold and Umaga's inhuman desire to fight. Passing out in the submission move, the face-painted monster was unable to answer the referee's count of ten.

Why more people don't talk about this match in glowing terms is baffling. Umaga looked like a star and Cena got a fresh opponent to work with, so it should be talked up as one of his finest matches to date. It's not though, because apparently John Cena 'can't wrestle'. This proves that theory wrong.
