7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (Aug 19)

4. Ronda’s ’Stone Cold’ Moment

Liv Morgan's title reign and Shayna Baszler's challenge doesn't leave a lot for Ronda Rousey to do. That doesn't mean the 'Baddest' should be off telly though, especially when she's capable of having 'Stone Cold' moments like the one that opened this week's SmackDown.

Rousey threatened to hold the show hostage, and she refused to leave until Adam Pearce lifted her suspension. He didn't, of course (there's more juice to this story), but brought out some security workers for Ronda to beat up before the police cuffed her.

This was a neat way to keep Rousey involved.

She thrives when her promo work is kept to a minimum. Short lines suit her, and the same could be said of throwing poor saps around like Rousey is making sure they earn that $100 paycheck to play WWE extras. The only slight concern is that Ronda is so badass that fans will turn her babyface again, and she was rubbish as a baby.
