7 Ups & 1 Down From WWE SmackDown (Aug 19)

2. Some Fine Build

Drew McIntyre Roman Reigns
WWE.com

Roman Reigns has been so strong and dominant as Undisputed Universal Champ that it's fair to say few believe anyone can beat him for both belts. That could hurt Drew McIntyre's challenge come Clash At The Castle, but WWE's writers did their able best to shed some doubt on the end result this week.

A fired-up Drew, who was coming off a hot promo on Monday, shot down a lonely Roman. Sami Zayn was the only (unofficial) member of The Bloodline who was there to take a bullet for Reigns - he took a meaty Claymore from McIntyre, then watched as his would-be boss missed his spear and ate another one anyway.

To close, Drew held both the WWE and Universal belts aloft as SmackDown went off the air. WWE's presentation was clear: McIntyre is the biggest threat to Roman since Brock Lesnar, and he might just have the Chief's number.
