4. Hurt Business Reunites

OK, we’ve taken a swipe at WWE for its shortsighted booking in bringing back the Hurt Business, but we have to be fair here and give credit for actually pulling the trigger and reuniting the faction.

Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were doing nothing of note on Raw (or in Alexander’s case, was doing stuff we’d rather forget), and with MVP on the shelf for a bit, it made sense to get Bobby Lashley some backup from familiar faces. The trio can feud with New Day, vie for the Raw Tag Team Championship, and support Lashley if he goes for another singles title.

Moreover, it just gives two directionless guys a purpose again, even if it’s just as the occasional cannon-fodder troops. Isn’t that better than not being used at all?

And let’s face it: The Hurt Business was a rare bright spot during the pandemic era. They deserve the opportunity to prove themselves in front of fans.
