7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 7 - Review)
1. Another Unnecessary Segment
Jade Cargill, Red Velvet and Leila Grey Vs. Madison Rayne, Skye Blue and Kiera Hogan wasn't without merit.
The exchanges between Skye and Velvet were a stirring competitive flex, nicely wrestled on the mat, but this had very little reason to actually exist. There are no Women's Trios titles. Yes, Hogan is out for vengeance having been kicked out of the stable, so there was a modicum of purpose to it.
Also, Red Velvet did at points convey apathy with the stable she too is slowly being negged out of, but the TBS title division barely exists, the advancement of what is hardly a compelling story was very, very gentle, and there's no real anticipation ahead of the ending of the story because what, exactly, is the endgame here? If the Baddies turn on Jade, they'd be justified, because Jade is heeling on them, but there's a numbers advantage at play that would babyface Jade.
And if it's just Red Velvet, AEW are hardly doing a good job of slowly allowing fans to remember the babyface fire of old because she's being directed to sulk.
It's all a bit baffling.
