7 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (June 12 - Results & Review)

2. Dark: Elevation Booking On TV

12 June Daniel Garcia

AEW

Daniel Garcia defeated Nick Comoroto in a total nothing match promoted solely to remind fans that he is set to wrestle for Will Ospreay's International title imminently. That was his second win in four days.

Technically, he is in form, not that the calibre of opponent is particularly impressive. This functional, fixtures-based booking would work far better, had AEW not given up on the rankings system the week after it was reintroduced. This was glorified Dark:Elevation fare, a total skip. Garcia - and there's still time of course - should have cut an in-ring promo. There should be more in-ring promos on Dynamite in general.

That, or he should have wrestled somebody well-versed in the hybrid style to underscore that he's capable of the upset win over Ospreay. Matt Sydal would have been perfect.
