2. Trios Match Over-Delivers

Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O'Reilly lost to Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Roderick Strong in a sensational Trios match. It was almost impossible for this to be bad, scanning the talent involved, but it was very possibly the best version of itself.

A rocket firework of a match, the pacing was relentless, never once dipping or flattening, as the various breakdown sequences wowed the fans with flares of awesome multi-man sequences. You can often see the wires even in a great trios match - when, for example, a wrestler pops their head above the canvas, waiting for the next move to gauge when they need return to the ring. There was very little of that here. Suspension of disbelief was easy.

In a fantastic sequence, Orange Cassidy and Kyle O'Reilly improvised a double team Superman punch and leg sweep combo. This spot ruled. It felt like they were scrambling to actually win in there. They didn't want to get their sh*t in. They needed to get their sh*t in. That was the crucial distinction here.

Kyle Fletcher, who was awesome throughout, but then everybody was, scored the pin.

This was the only flaw: surely it was Takeshita's moment.
