7 Ups & 2 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 20)

5. More Of The Same

Based on the title of this entry, it makes it seem like it should be a Down. The phrase "more of the same" typically points towards an endless amount of something tedious, however, in this case, it points towards the complete opposite.

During a sitdown interview with Gia Miller, Eric Young stated how his Bound For Glory match with Rich Swann would simply be more of what we've seen from him since returning to Impact Wrestling. Both Swann and Scott D'Amore were given the chance to take the easy way out, and avoid facing the consequences of messing with 'The World Class Maniac', but they pursued the road less travelled by. From there, Swann dove into shot, as he and the reigning World Champion fought out of Skyway Studios, and into the cameraman, breaking up the feed.

For the go-home to Bound For Glory, it would have been a bit flat had Eric Young and Rich Swann not gotten physical with one another. Their entire rivalry has been so personal that had this been a simple interview and nothing more, then it would have detracted from the much-anticipated showdown, at least a tiny bit anyway. Just by having the two brawl, as brief as it was, the hype for the pair's contest remains at its highest point.
