7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 28)

Downs...

2. The Street Profits Need Something New

Best to get the bad stuff out of the way early.

A brand jump won't be enough to re-energise Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. They've outstayed their welcome as a babyface duo, and badly need a break from tired catchphrases/the same old, same old. WWE missed the chance to split these dudes up in the 2023 Draft, then reunite them a year or two from now.

Absence would've made the heart grow fonder, but this leap to SmackDown is just more of the same already. The Profits three-way match vs. the Braun Strowman and Ricochet tandem and the LWO was solid, but it's really hard to get excited about the team these days. Both squads they toppled feel way fresher.

What is there for The Profits to do as a duo on Smackers anyway? Feud with The Viking Raiders again? Hopefully, at the very least, WWE has the sense to try on a heel run for these guys. If not, then they might wish they'd gone the singles route with Montez.
