7 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 27)

Downs...

2. Fools Rush In

Carmella Sasha Banks
WWE

First, some negatives.

Sasha Banks got some much-needed revenge against Carmella on SmackDown; the reigning champ had been ambushed just one too many times by the heel, and was beginning to look a bit foolish by constantly failing to have her wits about her. This week was a bit different - it was Banks doing the booting.

Then, Sasha went on to demand a match with 'Mella next week, and that's where this segment fell down a bit. Their match would be best-served on pay-per-view, not free TV, if only because most know exactly what'll happen if it takes place on Smackers: YE OLDE CHEAP FINISH.

Carmella also shouldn't wrestle at all until TLC. She's playing this aloof, entitled, money-grabbing, elitist character, so she'd realistically want the prestige of pay-per-view. Or, maybe that's the wrong way of looking at it. Perhaps 'Mella would want the spotlight on FOX instead? Who knows, but Banks' challenge felt flat.
