7 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (Oct 21 - Results & Review)

6. A Fun Plunder Battle

AEW Collision Jeff Jarrett Eddie Kingston
AEW

Despite the questionable logic of certain elements of the Eddie Kingston vs. Jeff Jarrett match, the bout itself gets an Up for how fun a plunder battle it ended up being.

Outside the ring, inside the ring, Kingston and Jarrett used all kinds of weapons to brutalise each other - all with the added presence of Memphis wrestling royalty Dave Brown joining the commentary team.

While it was the Mad King and Double J at the centre of this contest, of course, there was Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, Sonjay Dutt and Karen Jarrett assisting Jeff, turning the match into a bonafide handicap affair. A particular highlight was Lethal delivering a modified Lethal Injection that put Kingston through a table, as Jay gets set to challenge Eddie for a championship him himself has held on two occasions.

Kingston and Lethal should be a great pro wrestling match, but Kingston and Jarrett was absolutely a fun, slightly overstuffed gimmick match that was nothing if not entertaining for the most part.
