7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (6 March - Review)

1. Kazuchika Okada Is ALL Elite

After being obnoxious enough to draw out Eddie Kingston for a war of words and a straight up brawl, the 'Mad King' looked in big trouble until a two-on-one beatdown triggered the expected arrival of new AEW star Kazuchika Okada.

In a pleasant surprise all things considered, the newest Rainmaker Shock was in fact a swivel of the hips by 'The Rainmaker'.

He drilled Kingston with a Rainmaker and stood to pose in his best business attire with his new partners. A longstanding relationship between the two sides has has long been known in hardcore circles, with meme photos of the former IWGP Champion wearing Bucks gear and the three of them surviving the worst of TNA all built into their bond. Now it's AEW canon too, and Okada formally being announced as the newest member of The Elite opens the door for a wealth of new trios match, Okada Vs Kingston, Okada vs hot new babyface Will Ospreay and, most tantalisingly, Okada Vs Kenny Omega one more time.

Flawless wrestling television. A shock debut, a twist, a hot angle and some of the biggest matches in all of wrestling foreshadowed across one segment - this was the quality of Elite content that forged the existence of the company in the first place.
