7 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Anniversary Edition (Oct 14)

Downs...

3. Here We Go Again...

Matt Hardy Tony Schiavone
AEW

Matt Hardy declaring himself "100% health" and clear to compete again? That's a good thing. All Out was horrible, so it was nice to see the veteran confirming he is good to go, all while surrounded by his family.

Reprising the Sammy Guevara feud? That's a hard sell.

'The Spanish God' interrupted the segment by burning photos of Matt and claiming their rivalry wouldn't be over until he put Hardy out of wrestling for good. Hardy agreed, and here we go again: another chapter of a storyline that has felt snakebitten from day one. All Out was the worst moment, absolutely, but let's not forget the head wounds suffered by both men in prior matches.

It's understandable that these two professionals would want an opportunity to make good, and perhaps they should be trusted to do so. Their final showdown might pass without incident. Regardless, it's very, very difficult to feel okay about them diving back into it so quickly.
