Not announced until close to showtime, an innocuous three way match had drama and stakes in the body of the contest and lore coming out the other side.

A shot at the International Championship was randomly placed up for grabs in yet another mishmash where the styles clash was a feature rather than a bug. The stipulation became a lot less random the longer the match went on too. Nick Jackson was faced with two mountains to climb in Castagnoli and Cage, but the closing stretch - including Jackson stealing the pin - was elevated by fans and wrestler alike rooting for the outcome.

Nick Jackson has worked as a singles wrestler just four times since the launch of All Elite Wrestling, and one of those was for the 200th episode of Being The Elite during the darkest early days of the pandemic. He's wrestled just once as a solo star on Dynamite and that was against...Rey Fenix. Their November 11th 2019 clash was a cult classic, and a rematch on a fourth anniversary celebration of the flagship show is great matchmaking and terrific use of post-pay-per-view television time and Fenix's unexpected International Championship win.

Speaking of which...
