7 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Backstage (Nov 5)

2. Satin Sh*ts

Renee Young Ryan Satin
WWE

The news that Ryan Satin was to appear on WWE Backstage (with a "scoop", no less), sent medium shockwaves through wrestling Twitter ahead of the broadcast thanks to the acclaim he's achieved over the last few years as somebody capable of breaking a decent backstage story.

Ultimately though, anybody deep in the bubble excited about what he might blow wide open were probably disappointed by his short and painfully on-brand back-and-forth with Renee Young.

There to "break" the news that Alexa Bliss was carrying a undisclosed knock and that Randy Orton had signed a new five year deal, his spot felt irrelevant within the context of the show itself, but as sacrificed the integrity about Satin's own output going forward. This segment needed big stories to work - it didn't, so it didn't.
