7 Ups & 3 Downs From UFC 247
1. Can Anyone Stop Valentina Shevchenko?
The UFC's women's flyweight division has been dominated by Valentina Shevchenko ever since she dropped down a weight class and following her impressive victory over Katlyn Chookagian at UFC 247, it doesn't look like any of that will change in the future.
If you look at the rankings at flyweight, there aren't many options that seem like they could genuinely challenge Shevchenko. Even Katlyn Chookagian wasn't someone fans truly believed would be able to defeat her and there doesn't seem to be anyone creeping up the division who can change that.
So what do we do next with Bullet? Does she stay at women's flyweight and keep her foot on the neck of the weight class or does she return to the women's bantamweight division and hope that she'll be able to finally beat Amanda Nunes on the third time of trying?
According to her, there are plenty of options at 125lb waiting for her, but if she continues on this path of destruction, there can be no other option than a third fight with Nunes.
