7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (10 Feb - Results & Review)

Ups…

7. More Fire!

WWE continued their investment into Penta on Monday night, not with another victory over a midcard superstar, but with a well-produced vignette.

Delivering his promo amid pulsing flames, Penta said that he had “zero fear” regarding Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne, both of whom he has already beaten, but neither man has taken the loss as a final result. He closed out the short video by warning both wrestlers that “Penta is coming for you.”

Maybe it’s too simplistic to say it, but the way this was shot, with the flames both in the foreground and background, was really eye-catching and unique. It made Penta stand out and look like a really intense, unpredictable dude who might even be a bit off. He didn’t really say anything earth-shattering, and an ongoing feud against two guys he’s already beaten might not be the best course, but this was the stuff.

If WWE can find ways to present Penta in this light, they can cover for average promo skills and feuds that aren’t yet hitting that “dream match” level.
