If you never saw the Good Brothers before, Monday was your chance to see the duo in their first WWE match in more than 2.5 years.

However, the match was little more than a paint-by-numbers deal, with the OC toppling Alpha Academy. The match wasn’t bad, but considering this was Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows’ first match back, the opening contest with a hot crowd, and involved a wrestling wizard in Chad Gable, and this should have been a lot more than “not bad.”

Rather than a really good match to re-establish the duo, this tag match played to a more subdued crowd with little flash or even substance.

To be clear, we’re not rating this a negative because the match wasn’t bad, but because it should have been more.
