Ups…

7. Winning To Establish The Champs

Raquel Rodriguez & Aliyah have not been tagging for every long, so despite winning the tournament and capturing the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, the duo still has a lot to prove.

One way to help further establish the new champs is have them go out there and win a match. Monday, they tangled with Nikki ASH & Doudrop, fresh off losing an NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship match to Kayden Carter & Katana Chance (albeit via some interference from Toxic Attraction). The veterans gave them a bit of a run, but Raquel managed to hoist Doudrop up off the turnbuckle in impressive fashion and deliver a Tejana Bomb for the win.

Having the champs pick up a couple of wins like this – even if it’s against local talent – will only help establish them better and make then feel like a unit.
