7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 14)

2. Alexa's Stirring Sit Down

Where is this personality during those interminable 'A Moment Of Bliss' segments?

Alexa Bliss actually came across as a human being during her sit down interview on this week's show. She did a bang up job of setting up her disappointment about Braun Strowman's cold comments, and managed to sell Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' as a "captivating" character who has serious mind f*ck abilities.

WWE's production team produce excellent video packages every week, but they weren't needed here when Bliss was on top form. Her nervous glances to the side, quivering bottom lip and direct answers added more emotion to the Universal Title picture than anyone else involved has managed to date.

This was also a much-needed break from Alexa's giddy banter alongside the ever-chirpy Nikki Cross. Their team has run its course, and it's time Bliss went on to pastures new. She nailed it here.
