7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Aug 14)

Downs...

3. A Life-Changing Sum (Supposedly)

Shorty G Sheamus

It seemed Shorty G had turned rogue when he attacked Matt Riddle and attempted to cash in on 'King' Corbin's ransom recently. Apparently not. Shorty apologised to Riddle on this week's show, but accidentally left the door open for Corbin to sneak attack the 'Bro'.

Shorty's on/off heel turn isn't the problem here.

No, the issue is this "huge" pot of gold that Corbin is supposedly offering to anyone who will cut down Riddle for him. Chad Gable told Matt that he had a family to feed and thus couldn't afford to knock back the 'King's' bounty. He then failed to clue everyone in on just how much money Corbin is dishing out.

Until WWE specify the amount, it's actually pretty hard to care. It won't be a surprise if they slowly forget about all this ransom stuff and move on without giving it any proper closure. How hard would it be to name a figure and go from there?
