7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 13 - Results & Review)

1. Appreciate The Finish

Roman Reigns LA Knight

LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa was a physical, rugged main event that was low on frills but high on end sequence thrills. Many likely believed this bout would go to a standard non-finish that'd protect both guys, but no. Jimmy Uso and John Cena did rush out to get involved, but LA ultimately pinned Solo to take home the win.

Continuing to win matches is crucial to LA Knight's cause.

SmackDown went off the air with Knight taking a spear from Roman Reigns. That one move cements LA as a viable challenger to the 'Tribal Chief'. Hey, if Roman is willing to hammer LA this way and send a message, then he must view him as a threat. That came across loud and clear, which is great.

WWE bigwigs looking on from behind the curtain would've been pleased to see fans coming up behind Knight as he roared into a match-winning comeback. This dude is over, and it's awesome to see everyone acknowledge that rather than slow burn his push forever.
