7 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE UK Championship Tournament (Night 1)

2. Mark Andrews vs. Dan Moloney

Mark Andrews was a late addition to the WWE UK Championship Tournament, but a welcome one. Widely considered among the country's best wrestlers, Andrews is a phenomenal high-flying wrestler who wins hordes of new fans every time he competes. His recent work in TNA has helped launch him to an international platform, and his reputation should go through the roof now that he's finally with WWE.

Andrews looked excellent against Dan Moloney, who's no slouch himself. It was a typical power vs. speed match that saw Moloney continually utilise his superior size and strength to quell Andrews, but he couldn't keep the Welshman down for long. Andrews got the crowd popping with some textbook quickness and agility, and got the job done with a spectacular Shooting Star Press.

He might be the smallest guy in the tournament, but Andrews remains one of the favourites. He's had more American exposure than anyone else in the competition, and as one of PROGRESS' major players, he's a huge deal in the United Kingdom. Andrews will be a centrepiece of any weekly show that might emerge from this tournament, and should have an excellent match with Joseph Conners tomorrow night.
