7 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (Nov 25 - Results & Review)

1. Who's The Heel?

AEW Collision Big Bill Ricky Starks
AEW

Big Bill and Ricky Starks cut a decent promo during Collision's second hour. The problem is, this all served to muddy the water - and not in a good way - ahead of the AEW Tag Team Champions upcoming match against Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega.

By this point in AEW's lifespan, Jericho and Omega are beloved veteran babyfaces, and Bill and Starks are snide, underhand villains. In their respective roles, all four men are clearly shining.

With their Collision promo, though, Big Bill and Absolute have made it hard for anyone to realistically boo them as they get set to face the two former AEW World Champions. While Bill's promo was great, how can anyone not get behind the powerhouse when he's laying bare his very real, very serious struggles with addiction?

It's absolutely remarkable to see where Big Bill is in his life and his career these days, and he clearly deserves immense credit and respect for the troubles he's overcome. However, it's almost impossible to view him as a heel when he cuts such promos.

And yes, there doesn't always need to be a distinct heel or heel team in a match or rivalry, but so much of Bill and Starks' other output is sinister, dastardly, cowardly stuff - such as ambushing Jericho last week.
