7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 24)
3. Queen Of The Deathmatch
Britt Baker may have lost to Thunder Rosa last week, but nobody really lost that match. The good doctor came out looking like a million dollars thanks to her own elite performance opposite the former NWA Women's World Champion, with most of the bout's most memorable images involving her bloodied face. On Dynamite, too, she looked like nothing other than a winner, cutting one of her wonderfully obnoxious heel promos on everyone from the crowd to Mick Foley.
Tony Schiavone tried to draw cheers for Britt, putting the historic match over. Baker, a true heel, cut them down immediately, tearing into the dumb, delusional, and disrespectful audience for not cheering loudly enough.
Baker claimed Rosa should be thanking her for her newfound relevancy, then set her targets on Foley, thanking him for last week's props but adding that it took him 20 years to become a hardcore legend. Per Britt herself, it took her just one match. Ouch.
As a complete, all-round megastar-in-waiting, there isn't a single thing lacking in Britt Baker's performances. She has the most well-defined personality in the company and just delivered one of the best matches in AEW history. On top of this, she is a certified quarter-hour ratings draw with a proven track record.
Ladies and gentlemen, it's time to strap her up.
