7 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Quake By The Lake (10 Aug)

Wardlow FTR
AEW

FTR's adverted Dynamite comeback manifested in the tag team belt collectors aligning with old Pinnacle buddy Wardlow, assisting the TNT Champion in his ongoing rivalry with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, and Satnam Singh.

Battle of the Belts III saw Wardlow laid out by the opposing trio's numerical advantage, culminating in the colossal Singh chokeslamming him through a table. He needed an equaliser. So, when Lethal and co. gathered in the ring, calling Wardlow out, he was backed up by FTR. Dax and Cash's music hit after the TNT Champion had promised to whoop the heels' asses there and then, with the faces running the villains off.

FTR have always shown respect for Wardlow, even when the big man was feuding with MJF. This split allegiance prompted them to move away from The Pinnacle in the first place. No tandem could have been more fitting to support Wardlow, who finally has the communication needed to deal with Lethal, Dutt, and Singh.
