7 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Oct 13)

6. Redemption

Finally, something worth talking about as it pertains to Moose and EC3's battle over the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

At the start of the show, 'Mr Impact Wrestling' confronted Scott D'Amore over him doing absolutely nothing about EC3 stealing his championship. In D'Amore's defence, he confirmed that EC3 doesn't actually work for Impact, which follows in the footsteps of EC3's impending arrival in Ring Of Honor.

Moose knew exactly where he had to go in order to find the former two-time World Champion, as he confronted EC3 on a bridge. The same bridge that the TNA title had seemingly been thrown off of last week. But alas, there was EC3, with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship still in his possession.

It didn't take long for a brawl to break out between the pair, as they fought across the bridge, before it looked as if EC3 had left Moose laying once more. Before he could leave with the strap, though, it would instead be EC3 left on the ground, as 'The Wrestling God' reclaimed his championship.

The fight itself wasn't anything too special - there's not much you can do on a narrow bridge, after all. Despite that, the pair were able to put together something special, which was absolutely needed this close to the pay-per-view. The rivalry had been subpar leading into the event, which was surprising given the hype around EC3's return at Slammiversary. Just in the nick of time, they've been able to recreate a bit of that hype ahead of their 24 October showdown in an 'undisclosed location'.
