Unexpectedly brilliant in spite of the obvious factors working against it, Backstage's closing salvos towards Twitter trolls has generated some earnestly enjoyable bullsh*t over the past few weeks.

From Renee Young owning "that Fox money" to CM Punk sub-tweeting Twitter failure Seth Rollins, the feature inspired an awful lot of newsworthy silliness and was inexplicably absent from this week's show.

Both Punk and special guest Baron Corbin would have been perfect for this week's social media SmackDown, alas the panelists and The King were awkwardly made to just stand there as the show raced off the air.
