Downs…

4. Howdy’s Prose

Bray Wyatt is rightly lauded for his contributions to WWE and wrestling in general, but one area of criticism that often arose was his penchant for meandering promos full of prose that ultimately meant nothing.

The Wyatt Sick6 have been an undeniable success since their debut, though it’s fair to say they aren’t going to be everyone’s favorite flavor. They might not be doing the supernatural angle that Wyatt/The Fiend engaged in, but their spooky-adjacent antics are reminiscent of it.

Uncle Howdy has continued his brother’s tradition of speaking in riddles and rhymes, and while his promo on Monday night did make sense, it still was another verbose, thesaurus-inspired speech that used a lot of words to just say, “It’s your funeral” in accepting American Made’s challenge.

This is a personal preference situation. Fans who are bang into the Wyatt6 will have lapped this up with a spoon and accept the promo as some deep, rich way of communicating. And that’s fine. However, if you’re inclined to cringe when Howdy starts talking in riddles, then this was fast-forward material.

But hey, eight-person street fight next week. That very well could rule given the players, and if it means the end of this feud, then even better.
