7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (2 Sept - Results & Review)
2. The Rematch No One Wants To See
Is WWE deliberately trying to keep Damage CTRL and Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill apart for another month or two?
That’s the only plausible reason to have Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane lose a number one contender’s match to former champs Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn on Monday night. The Unholy Union won after Sane accidentally took out Bianca (Dawn pulled Belair into a diving Kairi’s path), leaving Sky to take the pinfall.
Is anyone actually clamoring for a rematch here? Their Bash in Berlin match was decent at best, but no one was buying Fyre and Dawn, who didn’t pin the champs to win the titles and had a heatless run with the straps.
If you’re going to have a detour feud before Damage CTRL gets a title match, then have KC-Squared return. Better yet, why wasn’t Pure Fusion Collective, which has been angling for the tag titles, in this match?
