1. Edge Gets His Big Homecoming

Edge made his big return to the ring Monday night in his first match in Toronto in more than a decade, defeating Judgment Day’s Damian Priest.

The match itself was a pretty good back-and-forth that saw Edge play the role of a wily veteran, constantly outsmarting Priest (who himself is an 18-year veteran) and getting the upper hand. The two traded strikes, lobbed bombs and spammed each other’s big moves, all leading to Edge pulling out a Canadian Destroyer before hitting a spear for the win.

Afterwards, he was jumped by Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor, but before they could finish the job, Beth Phoenix jumped the rail to save her husband, leading to a standoff between her and Ripley. Just like that, you’ve got a big mixed tag or even a singles match on the table, and it finally presents someone who can actually take a swing at Rhea.

Overall, this was about as good as you could ask for a big return – Edge looked good, got a hard-fought win, and got backup. Now, let’s see where this goes next.
