7 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Aug 22)

6. Another Week, No 24/7 In Sight

Pat yourself on the back, as we’ve reached a month without seeing the 24/7 Championship melee take place on Raw.

Ever since Triple H took over, the title that has become the butt of all jokes (especially the unfunny ones) on Raw has disappeared. Dana Brooke is still recognized as champ and has been seen carrying the title around, but no one has tried to take it from her. We haven’t seen Reggie, R-Truth or Akira Tozawa trying to roll her up backstage to win it from her.

Even during last week’s Raw, Dakota Kai defeated Brooke in singles action, but despite the 24/7 title supposedly having to be defended… well, 24/7, Kai did not win the title when she defeated Dana.

That should give hope to those who feel the title has long since jumped the shark and that it could be on its way out, or at least is being seriously de-emphasized.
