WWE need to book Edge vs. Daniel Bryan later this year.

They don't have a choice, because that pair are killer on the mic and would do special things between the ropes. Both babyfaces proved that on this week's SmackDown, and they did so without totally wrecking Bryan's Fastlane title shot against Roman Reigns or Edge's own match with the heel at WrestleMania 37.

There was a lot to like this week (which was needed after last week's almost literal sh*t show), especially in the Universal Title hunt. WWE's writers did a superb job of casting everyone from Edge and Bryan to Reigns and even Jey Uso here - oh yes, Friday's episode had more than a thumping cage match to shout about.

Wait, four 'Downs' though? Yep, and they all come from the same feud. That's a damning commentary on what the company are doing with their women, to be honest. This whole business with Reginald, as well as 'Mania opponents teaming up, is sucking the life out of a promising SmackDown Women's Title rivalry.

Here are all the 'Ups' and those 'Downs' from WWE's penultimate Smackers before hitting Fastlane next weekend...
