7 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Jul 28)

5. The Dark Order vs. Shawn Dean & Will Hobbs

The Dark Order
AEW

There was a clear story in play as Evil Uno and Stu Grayson met Shawn Dean and Will Hobbs.

Dean, the smaller man, is a textbook Dark enhancement talent, albeit one that has always done a good job in his limited role. This made him the perfect choice to take The Dark Order's prolonged beatdown before tagging Hobbs, who has been allowed to show his hefty power moves on several occasions. Thus, the bout saw Dean get beaten down by Uno and Grayson, spring to life with a comeback flurry, then switch with the big man, who got a bunch of moves off before succumbing. One sloppy catch aside, it was another intriguing cameo from big Will.

The Fatality on Dean ensured Grayson and Uno moved towards tonight's Tag Team Championship match on a W. They a great in-ring tag team and it's nice to see them getting his opportunity, gimmick concerns aside.
