7 Ups & 5 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jul 26)
6. Not A Bad Match
The opening match between former best friends Jordynne Grace and Kiera Hogan wasn't a bad match. It wasn't necessarily the best match anyone's ever witnessed, but there wasn't anything terrible to note about it. That's the important thing here.
Kiera's new pal (sort of) Madison Rayne sat in on commentary for this one, keeping mostly to herself while Grace and Hogan had a back and forth contest for the most part. When 'The Queen Bee' rolled Kiera back into the ring later on in the match to prevent a count out, her plans backfired, with Kiera's small package attempt being turned into a rollup from 'Thicc Mama Pump' instead for the three count.
Again, it wasn't anything too special, but it did everything it needed to. It continued to establish Jordynne as a top-tier performer in the Knockouts division with her victory, and more tension was added to the partnership between Kiera and Madison. Plus it was a decent bout. All the boxes were checked.
