7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 21)

3. Missing A Milestone

WWE almost never misses an opportunity to navel-gaze. They will break their collective arms trying to pat themselves on the back for everything.

That’s why it’s baffling that Monday marked the 1,500th episode of Monday Night Raw, and the occasion wasn’t marked with a banner, or balloons, or even a cake to shove in someone’s face. No legends turned out to celebrate, and no classic clips aired.

It was embarrassing in some ways to think that WWE chose to just sidestep this milestone and deliver a normal (but better than recent shows) episode, because it’ll be another 9+ years (500 weeks) before the company marks a similar occasion with Raw.

Here’s hoping we get the scoop on why WWE ignored this special night.
