7 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 14)

What a way to start SmackDown this was!

WWE isn't quite finished with the feud between Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross quite yet. A car crash angle will always grab attention from the off, and it was really nice to see the blue brand's latest open with something other than the usual intro/in-ring promo.

Is there something bigger at play here too? This is guesswork, but Bray Wyatt being back on the roster could be upping the ante for several other stars. Liv Morgan is acting like a Joker-esque laughing maniac, and now Drew is trying to murder Karrion Kross - the Scot's aggression here was phenomenal.

Fans may recall how Wyatt changed everyone from Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins to Alexa Bliss and others during his first stint as the 'Fiend'. Is this another chapter in that story, or is it merely coincidence? That's up for debate, but this was a hot kickoff for SmackDown regardless.
