7 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Thanksgiving (24 Nov)

6. Dante Chooses Team Taz

Lio Rush Dante Martin Team Taz
AEW

An interesting twist went down last night, as Dante Martin snatched a Team Taz contract away from Lio Rush, opting to sign the deal, join Taz's group, and leave Rush high and dry.

While straightforward, the outcome is interesting. Neither Taz nor Rush have Martin's best interest in mind here. Dante is one of the most exciting young wrestlers in the world but is still discovering his own identity, which leaves him open for manipulation from AEW's more dangerous players. Now, he's rolling with Taz, Hook, Ricky Starks, and Powerhouse Hobbs, while his brother Dante recovers from injury.

Dante will be an interesting player upon returning, as there's little chance he approves of what's going on. Lio, meanwhile, feels like he has one more twist up his sleeve. That he feels like a much better fit for Taz's group than Martin means Dante better watch his back.
