3. Heel Turn? Does It Matter?

Can someone explain how we should feel about Bobby Lashley right now?

During this ongoing, stretched-out feud, both Lashley and Brock Lesnar have continued to be de facto babyfaces, playing to the fans, slapping hands and smiling as they go. But then you saw Lashley’s antics Monday night, where he employed 10 security guards and set up a table on the ramp to avoid getting in the ring with Brock, triggering a “Bobby’s scared” chant.

All of this was a plot to unnerve Lesnar, who charged right into Bobby’s trap, and he backdropped and speared Brock before signing the contract for their Elimination Chamber match. So it was an elaborate setup to irritate Lesnar until he made a tactical mistake? That’s quite the move.

Does this make Lashley the bad guy? Or a situational one? Or was this just “mind games” and we should continue to cheer both men as we see fit? Regardless, none of this made this match “must see.” At this point, it’s more of a relief to see it going on now and not at WrestleMania.
