7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Mar 22)

5. Hardy At Half-Speed

You get the feeling that realizing that he was jobbing to a guy who was going to be jobbing to Bad Bunny at WrestleMania was going through Jeff Hardy’s mind as he faced the Miz on Monday night.

Because that match was just about as bad a match between two capable veterans could be. It was paint-by-numbers, but not even in an interesting or competitive way. You can do a completely predictable, all-signature spots bout and have it be fun. But this was a slow-motion affair that looked like both men were sleepwalking toward the finish.

And really, it’s tough to blame Hardy, who has bounced aimlessly from one rivalry and friendship to another for months. (Remember when he was forming a tag team with Riddle?) He most likely will be stuck in either a multi-man match or the Andre the Giant Battle Royal – if that returns.
