7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (Oct 25)

6. The US Champ Exists!

It’s somewhat understandable that WWE was focusing on its big matches for Crown Jewel the last several weeks, but that came at the expense of someone like Damian Priest, who hadn’t wrestled on Raw in three weeks before Monday.

Thankfully, Priest got a one-on-one bout with T-Bar, which ended in a DQ when T-Bar chucked a chair at the United States Champion. Priest snapped and unleashed a beating on his opponent, which ended with a Reckoning. You’ve got to imagine we’ll get another match between these two, which if Damian triumphs again will go toward re-establishing his credentials.

It would have been nice if WWE hadn’t spent the last several months treating Dominik Dijakovic – a legitimately talented wrestler – like a jobber in the tag division, because this rivalry could actually mean something. Instead, T-Bar was met with silence. But we’ll still give passing marks to Priest.
