7 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw XXX (23 Jan - Review)

4. Brock Returns

It wouldn’t be a major Raw just on the cusp of WrestleMania season if we didn’t have an unannounced cameo from Brock Lesnar.

The Beast interfered in the United States Championship match – a no-DQ bout – to F-5 both Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory, dropping the champ on top of the challenger for the pin. This clearly sets Lashley and Lesnar on a collision course at WrestleMania 39 for the third and decisive match in their little trilogy.

While we could easily neg Theory and his neutered US title reign, we’ll set that aside for now in favor of a hoss fight between two beasts. It was always a question of how we’d get back to this rivalry, and now we’ve got it: Lesnar costing Lashley a title he covets.

The next question is whether we’ll see these two collide again in the Royal Rumble this weekend, or if it’ll be on ice until afterwards.
