An inherently silly idea made magnificent by two of the company's best at the time, Jake Roberts and Rick Martel p*ssing about in hoods saw them do hardly anything and yet draw some of the biggest reactions of the night - few contests on the show illustrated the magic of pro wrestling quite as well.
'The Model' had taken Roberts' sight in the build-up, with the "blindfold" stipulation inserted as a leveller between the pair that 'The Snake' shrewdly noted would ironically signpost his path to victory. Pointing constantly helped, too.
Such a well-lit story was told by the two men ostensibly being kept in the dark. An arena full of fans could see the narrative play out, even if the wrestlers themselves had to pretend they couldn't.
